About Elder First

Elder First is a purpose-driven eldercare initiative and a proud part of the Preet Aikya Group, built on a simple belief: ageing should be lived with dignity, independence, and joy. We provide safe, supportive communities and services that empower seniors to live life on their own terms—whether at home, in community living, or through specialised care. Our approach blends compassion with professionalism, focusing not just on care, but on overall well-being and happiness.

Founded by Deepak Bhandari, Elder First is rooted in a deeply personal journey shaped by love, loss, and purpose. Guided by the values of the Preet Aikya Group, Deepak envisioned Elder First as a platform that restores respect, choice, and meaning to senior lives. Today, Elder First is committed to reshaping the narrative of ageing in India—from dependency to dignity, from isolation to belonging—by creating care ecosystems where elders feel valued, supported, and truly at home.

Group Preet Aikya – In the eyes of others

From the ashes of personal tragedy emerged a noble endeavour that would touch the lives of many. The story of this remarkable group began with Deepak Bhandari, a man driven by compassion and love, who embarked on a journey of charity following the heart-wrenching loss of his beloved spouse, Preeti. Fuelled by the desire to make a difference in society, the group’s humble origins revolved around essential charitable verticals: Preet ki Chaaon – tree plantation, Preet ki Rasoi – free food distribution, and Preet ki Asha – girl child education.

As time passed, Deepak’s vision expanded, and he recognized the pressing emotional needs of the elderly in our community. Spurred by this realization and the wake of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the group ventured into establishing elder homes. Their first centre, nestled in the heart of Bhopal, now stands as a haven for the elderly, providing them with warmth, care, and companionship.

Determined to extend their reach, the group also embraced the concept of a cloud kitchen, affectionately named “Preet ki Rasoi,” where culinary delights are crafted with love and nostalgia. Today, this group stands tall, focused on enriching the lives of seniors and serving delectable flavors, all rooted in the essence of community building and humanity.

I have known Deepak and his family for the past 25 + years and am happy to contribute my bit in the groups endeavour to be a trailblazer in serving elders.

My blessings to Team Preet Aikya
